Welcome to our Bratz coloring pages.

Bratz is an American line of fashion dolls and related merchandise manufactured by MGA Entertainment. Four original 10″ dolls were released on May 21st, 2001 – Cloe, Jade, Sasha and Yasmin . They are portrayed as teenagers distinguished by large heads and skinny bodies, almond-shaped eyes adorned with eyeshadow, and lush, glossy lips. You can see their distinctive features in our Bratz coloring pages.

Bratz reached great success and the original line of dolls was expanded with a number of spin-offs like Bratz Kidz and Bratz Babyz, as well as media featuring the Bratz characters, including a movie, tv series, music albums and video games. In 2005, global sales were two billion dollars and by 2006 Bratz had about forty percent of the fashion-doll market.

Bratz have provoked controversy in several areas. Criticism has been leveled at the labor conditions under which the dolls are manufactured in China, and the American Psychological Association has expressed concern about the sexualization of the dolls’ clothing and its effect on children. Since 2005 MGA Entertainment has been involved in a lengthy legal dispute with Mattel over the rights to the Bratz design. The only effect we want to have with these Bratz coloring pages, is to make sure everyone has a lot of fun coloring them!

In August 2010, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the franchise, MGA released their first Bratz in what was then, one year. The new dolls reportedly have “new bodies, new styles…” Larian asserts that the Bratz are primed for a ‘permanent return to the market’.

The return of the Bratz was announced on mgae.com in February 2010. MGA maintains the official Bratz Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace pages, and at all three sites, late July 2010/early August 2010 was announced as the expected release. Photos of the new Cloe, Yasmin, Jade, and Sasha dolls from two different collections were unveiled at Bratz.com, as well as the official Bratz pages on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. Photos of revamped Bratz Boyz, (Cameron and Dylan) have also appeared on the official website. In addition to the two “comeback” collections, MGA also released 10 new female Bratz characters on 10 October 2010. The same day that Target stores across the US will put up large end cap displays for the new Bratz dolls. MGA unveil the 10 new girls in September/October, via the official MySpace, Twitter, and Facebook pages. The new dolls are: Lydia, Adri, Tyla, Joelle, Ashby, Leora, Shadi, Shira, Carrie, and Liliana. Can you spot some of these in our Bratz coloring pages?
